FRAMING

None of the drawings on this site are framed. Framing is the responsibility of the buyer. What follows below is simply a suggestion. All non-portrait drawings can be floated in a frame or matted (but showing edge of image).

The photo on this page reflects the way in which I conceived of the portraits being framed. There is a mat that matches the white of the paper and crops the drawing directly up to the edge of the 4x5” dimension. The mat is 10.625 x 9.75”. The frame itself is a painted wood and is .25” wide x 1.5” deep. The dimensions are small enough that you can use either glass or plexiglass; Either choice should be UV-coated as charcoal can fade if placed in direct sunlight.

If your preference is to not use a mat for the portraits but to simply float the drawing in a frame, feel free to do so. Just be aware that, should you want to buy multiple drawings, not all of the paper sizes are identical, which possibly will result in frame sizes that are not uniform.

Portrait No. 6, framed in the suggested manner (this is a prototype—this drawing is not sold framed)
